Facilities Layout & Design

Technological Solutions Limited has developed many facility layouts & designs for leading businesses involved in agriculture, production, distribution, food service, and export in multiple countries. These include Cote d’Ivoire & Ghana in Africa; Haiti and Jamaica in the North Caribbean; Grenada, St. Lucia and St. Vincent & the Grenadines in the OECS; and Trinidad & Tobago, Guyana and Suriname in the Southern Caribbean

Over the last 15 years, these have ranged from horticultural product exporting operations to plants for major exporters. These facilities were designed to be fully GMP, GAP, HACCP and GFSI- certifiable, where relevant, offering optimal efficiencies and flexibility that allow for multiple products to be handled concurrently.  The TSL team has designed and guided the development of technical facilities in Jamaica, St. Lucia, St. Kitts & Nevis, Dominica, and Guyana

Designs optimize staff and equipment utilization, resulting in lower operating overheads. They facilitate full automation or, alternatively, operation in a semi-automated manner, and also feature optimization of the use of space, personnel and product flow, acceptance and delivery, and efficient raw material and finished product handling.

Where required, designs have employed environmentally friendly features to minimize negative environmental impacts. Layouts and designs meet international, regulatory and other certification requirements.

TSL also evaluates the designs and layouts of existing facilities and provides recommendations and guidance on meeting international standards. Among the layouts and designs completed thus far are Lasco Manufacturing’s two plants at White Marl in Jamaica, Best Dressed Foods Further Processing Facility (St. Catherine, Jamaica), Caribbean Cream (Kremi’s) upgraded plant (Kingston, Jamaica), UniBev’s new beverage processing facility in Jamaica, C&G Star in Barbados,  Tantos Foods in Côte d’Ivoire, and JMB SA in Haiti.
